Acclaimed Maui chef Alex Stanislaw is now at the helm of the Sea House as the restaurant’s Executive Chef. Chef Alex’s culinary career spans more than 30 years at some of Maui’s top restaurants. After graduating with honors from the Culinary Institute of America in New York, Chef Alex began his career at Kapalua Bay Hotel, followed by seven years at Erik’s Seafood Grotto in Kahana, then 21 years as Executive Chef at The Plantation House Restaurant in Kapalua. Over the years, Chef Alex has received numerous accolades and recognition including “Best Chef on Maui,” has been featured in multiple cookbooks including “Great Chefs of Hawaii,” and has appeared on culinary and travel programs such as the Rachael Ray Show and Discovery Channel’s Great Chefs Series.
“Being at the Sea House, I feel like I’ve come full circle,” says Chef Alex, who started his career at adjacent Kapalua Bay.

The staff at the Sea House Restaurant would be delighted to work with you for special dining events and on-site catering services. From weddings to family reunions to meetings, the Catering Manager can arrange set-menu dinners in the Sea House for 12 to 26 people. For larger groups, the outdoor ocean view Lani Pool Terrace can accommodate 27 to 60 people, and the garden view Aloha Pavilion is available for 61 to 200 people. The Executive Chef can design custom menus to suit your personal taste.
